Terms of Service & Legal Notice

By visiting our site and/or purchasing products from Handy Forge, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, including all additional policies referenced herein.

1. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland (QLD), Australia, and the Commonwealth of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

2. Technical Specifications & Trademark Notice

We endeavor to present accurate product descriptions, steel Rockwell hardness ratings, bevel angles, and pricing. Independent Tool Brand Notice: Handy Forge is an independent manufacturer and distributor of woodworking hand tools and joinery equipment. Handy Forge is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Lie-Nielsen Toolworks, Veritas Tools, Narex, Kakuuri, Two Cherries, or Clifton Planes. Any comparative references are made strictly for functional specification, steel metallurgy comparisons, and craft clarity. Handy Forge reserves the right to correct any inadvertent inaccuracies at any time without prior notice.

3. Tool Sharpness, Rust Prevention & Safe Workshop Handling Warning

SHARP EDGE & WORKSHOP SAFETY WARNING: Traditional woodworking chisels, gouges, and saws are delivered razor-sharp. Always cut with the blade pointing away from your body, secure workpieces firmly in a woodworking vise, and keep both hands behind the cutting edge during paring operations. Keep all sharp edged tools stored safely out of reach of children. High-Carbon Steel Rust Notice: Non-stainless high-carbon steels (such as O1 and Shirogami) will oxidise rapidly when exposed to humidity, hand perspiration, or water-stone slurry. Always wipe metal surfaces dry after use and apply a coat of camellia oil or paste wax before storage. Handy Forge is not liable for personal cuts resulting from careless chisel handling, blade chipping caused by prying on nails or knots, or surface rust resulting from improper humidity storage.
